The Ville is a tropical resort and casino overlooking Breakwater Marina, Townsville, Queensland. A contemporary upgrade was commissioned by the Colonial Leisure Group to transform the 1980s former casino, with architecture by Woods Bagot. The Ville was completed in 2018.

2019 AILA Queensland Award - Citation
The Ville reflects the new found prominence of ‘hotel as destination’ within Australia. Central to the resurrection of the Jupiter’s Townsville Casino and with it, Townsville, are the landscape interventions. Reconceived in true resort style, the external space is defined by an extensive new swimming pool and accompanying lounge and hospitality facilities.
Capitalising on its coastal location, this new raised pool overlooks lawn space peppered with palm trees allowing unimpeded views to ocean and island beyond. Elegant and without fuss, the landscape successfully blurs the boundary of the site and seamlessly integrates and supports the built form creating a new reason to stay beyond a pause along the tourist trail.
